Fictdoodles – A Collection of Flash Fiction by David Hill Burns
From the Author
Dear Readers, these are my favorite flash fiction pieces from 2008 to 2011 (over 50). Most of them are less than a thousand words and, as tradition dictates, can be read during the length of time it takes to smoke a cigarette. DON’T SMOKE! READ! In these stories, I cover scenes of horror, turns of comedy, and moments of deep human emotion. I try to be honest in my portrayal of the human state. There are no heroes and no villains. I attempt to endow my characters with the potential for both, sometimes reaching into the depths of human depravity, and sometimes soaring into the heights of spiritual enlightenment.I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
